Book Your Seat Now!
Each topic will start from the very beginning, so no experience is necessary! You can stop at any of Fairmont’s local restaurants and pick up a lunch on the way (or just brown bag it). We’ll have a 30-minute presentation, followed by 30 minutes of discussion/questions.
Each session will come complete with action steps to help you get started in establishing a small online presence for your business or non-profit. These classes are designed to get you all the information you need on each topic as a stand-alone class; taken as a set they’ll provide a comprehensive overview on building a strong web presence for your business or organization.
April 25, 12:30pm: Social Media for Small Business
Every social media platform is full of consumers who are looking for what your organization provides; but how do you get your information in front of the eyes who want to see it? We’ll talk about which platforms might be best for your businesses, some free tools to help you maximize your time and impact, and how to get the most bang for your buck with paid promotions.
May 2, 12:30pm: SEO (Search Engine Optimization) for Small Business
So, you made a website, but you’re not ranking on search engines. What good is all the hard work you’ve put into creating a site if you don’t show up in a search for the people in your community looking for your services? We’ll talk about the things your site needs to have to help it rank well, and things you can do to improve your site’s ranking.
May 9, 12:30pm: Blogging for Small Business
Blogging has changed from an internet journal to a valuable tool for promotion. Sharing fresh content on your blog on a regular basis helps to establish your site to both consumers and search engines as an authority in your field; but what do you post? We’ll talk about the 3 categories of content you should focus on, and brainstorm specific topics for each attendee. We’ll also go over how to structure your blog posts to achieve the maximum impact for the information you share.
The Details
Each class will cost $20 (plus tax) or you can attend all 3 for $55.
